The various uses of Moringa.

All parts of the plant can be used in a variety of ways. Moringa is full of nutrients and vitamins  and is good in your food as well as in the food of your animals. Moringa helps to clean the dirty water and is a useful source of medicines. It provides a lot of green material that is useful when using systems of alleys. There are many other uses and these will all be described as follows:

  • Human Food: All food Moringa has a high nutritional value. You can eat theleaves, especially the young shoots, small fruits, flowers, roots, and in some species the shell. The leaves are low in fat and carbohydrates and rich in minerals, iron and vitamin B.


  • Fertilizer: The seed cake, which is produced by pressing the seeds to extract oil, can not be eaten, because it contains harmful substances. However, it contains high levels of protein and makes a good fertilizer for agricultural use.
      • Animal fodder: Cattle, sheep, pigs, goats and birds navigate in the bark, leaves and seeds of Moringa. The best diet for pigs is 70% of Moringa, 10% and 20% Leucaena leaves others.       • Domestic cleaning agent: Crushed leaves are used to clean tools or even the walls.
      • Natural pesticide: By digging Moringa leaves into the soil before planting, damping off disease (Pythium debaryanum) can be prevented among seedlings.
      • Fuelwood and other uses: The wood is light and is a good fuel for cooking. However, it is suitable for construction. The bark can be beaten into a fiber that can be used to make rope or carpet and wood produces a blue dye. Wood chips can be used to make a good quality paper. The tree also produces viscous resin, which is used in textile industry.
